Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

I have been doing really well with the diet so far and I think I am stabilizing. I have been on the diet for 2 months. I have had few attacks and only b/c I have cheated and eaten something I shouldn't. But recently I have been getting attacks at work that I think are stress induced. My boss is very tempermental (SP?) and when he gets upset at one person he takes it out on everyone. He storms around the office like a bear and slams things around. And then you could cut the air with a knife there is so much tension when he talks to who ever he is upset with. My stomach just starts to knot up and I get cramps. Then I begin to worry I might have to go to the bathroom and therefore use a public restroom which adds to my dilemma. I have thought about looking for another job but then I will be stressed at the new job for a couple of weeks until I get acclumated and that will cause an attack. And then I don't want to have to explain to a new employer that I have "stomach problems" and start off on the wrong foot. I really wish I could work from home, it would solve a lot of problems. I am at work now and my boss is in a bad mood as usual and I can feel my stomach knotting up and it is almost lunch time but I don't want to risk eating. Anyway, thanks for listening.
