When I called the ortho evra comment/question line they told me that it can take up to 3 months for the side effects to disappear. My main reason for taking it is because I have VERY painful periods so Im going to stick with it for as long as possible to see if it helps with that at all. Im already pretty happy because my doc said I could keep the patch on for up to 3 months without taking it off and having a period so that right there is enough to keep me going on with it! So do you think its the patch that is causing your mood swings? Lately I can be sad, happy, depressed, mad and then happy again in a matter of minutes! Its scary!
