This may end up to be a long post. I am currently taking nortriptylene 50mg. Okay, this past weekend we went to visit friends at Virginia Beach. I pretty much stayed the diet course and listened to the cds. Heck, I even passed up icecream that tastes likecake batter !!! Yummy! I did eat more fat than usual, our one friend used to be a chef and made a wonderful seafood dinner! So that night my body started the cramping, loud noises (I think you get the picture) and I did get D but not like I did before the medication. I had all the symptoms of D, but then it was only slightly soft, but I had such urgency and quite frankly I just wanted everything out of my system! I know one of the side effects is a more firming/constapating bm. Has anyone had this happen to them? I don't know which is worse having D with no tricyclic anti or using it and feeling the urgency with nothing and waiting for it to hit. Does the drug prolong the episode? Any input is greatly appreciated.
