Hi, hi, hi, everybody!!
Back in NYC to my own computer with the correct login! The vacation was a net good with some peaks and valleys. But the important thing is I was very careful with my diet and have ALMOST made it through with no D! I'm not declaring victory until tomorrow morning just in case there's a delayed reaction to something. But assuming that I'm okay, then it's only 10 days to countdown to SEVEN MONTHS!! That will be the longeset I've been D-free in probably over two years. THANK YOU, HEATHER!!!!! It's all because of discovering this website in January and getting serious about Heather's diet. Woohoo!!
Okay, I cheated on the trip home yesterday and had a chocolate chip cookie. It was a final moment of weakness and it was NOT lowfat so I hope I don't pay! Also had a close call day before yesterday just from the cumulative effect of all those bakery goodies they gave us for breakfast and all those rich restaurant meals, even though I was ordering as safely as possible and only eating half of each portion. I stuck with plain chicken or fish or seafood the whole time, plus two or three dinner rolls, and NO appetizer, NO dessert.
Anyway, as we were leaving for the beach that day, my tummy started getting grumbly and I DEFINITELY didn't want to have D on the beach (EWWWWW!!), so I popped two Imodium and sure enough, things settled right down.
I've been thinking about how much Imodium is helping me lately. It never (knock wood) seems to plug me up so much I swing to C, and it used to sometimes. I think the difference is the SFS. As we know it helps with both C and D, so I think it must be helping things move along even when I take Imodium. Anyway, it's my miracle drug at the moment, so whatever it is, I'm happy!!
Today is tuna salad for lunch and I don't know what for dinner. Already had my usual cereal and berries for breakfast.
Gee, it's nice to be home and back to my regular routine. I'll post a full report on the vacation on the Living Room board later, for those of you interested.
Thanks for all your support, everybody. Couldn't have done it without you!!
