Yeah, I seem to have that happen too, especially during the week and 1/2 or so before my period. I gotta tell ya, since my other symptoms are more or less under control, I've gotten to the point where I just accept it. Hm. As I've always said, if it were a men's thing, there'd be telethons. A daily walk of about half hour, forty-five minutes really helps, as does simethicone (as barbie indicates) and fennel tea. If you are able to, a hot pad directly on your belly, as hot as you can tolerate, is quite helpful too; in fact I apply a hot pad for about an hour at bedtime, because I've found that the heat is a good preventative measure. Plus it feels nice. I've also found that small grazing-kind of "meals"... I hesitate to even call them meals, cause they're more like a handful of trail mix, a few crackers, a couple of carrots, an apple... you get the picture... really keep me from getting too uncomfortable and bloaty. You can keep it under control and keep it from getting too uncomfortable. Other than that, a little bit of acceptance goes a long way for me. Although these suggestions aren't new and innovative, I hope they're helpful.
