Thanks! I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. I, too, think the antibiotic connection is strange. In years past, antibiotics would cause problems, not alleviate them. I just recently made this connection, so I will bring it up with the doc at next appt. My alternative MD believes I have an overgrowth of bad bacteria in my gut, so that may be why the antibiotics help. Also, while on them, I took massive doses of probiotics, which I'm now taking all the time. That may help too. I'm interested in the hyno, so I'll try that sample as well.
Your story on the celiac thing is really interesting. It's my understanding that a positive is usually a positive. Current blood tests for celiac are supposed to be relatively accurate (I've been doing some research on this the past couple of days). I definitely feel better when I'm gluten free. Have you tried a gluten free diet? The only other test for celiac is an upper endoscopy and biopsy of the villi in the small intestine. Colonoscopy won't show anything related to celiac. Anyway, if you haven't tried going gluten free, you might give it a shot without worrying about the tests right now. See if it helps. I feel way worse when I eat gluten. Unfortunately at the moment, eliminating gluten is not "curing" me. So something else is going on.
I think stress is a big thing. I just hate to admit that stress is the culprit. Makes me feel like a wuss.
Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate hearing others suggestions. I don't feel quite so alone in the struggle!!
