I don't believe vinegar is a trigger. I don't use commercial salad dressings, so I can't help you there, but I can recommend a tomato sauce: Light Ragu. I've been buying the Tomato & Basil one for a while now, and really like it. It's fat-free and contains no HFCS (in fact, the ingredients are tomato puree, diced tomatoes, onions, sugar, salt, garlic powder, parsley, basil and spices - nothing chemical, either!).
