Well, if you have some time on your hands and feel like picking through a bunch of replies, I posed a similar question a few weeks ago. See here. One of the suggestions was a cup of hot water with a bit of lemon juice every morning. (Not much lemon juice; I don't think it would bother your reflux.) If you're still a little leery of the acidity of the juice, I have an herbal that suggests honey instead of lemon.
When I end up C, I usually don't start to really worry until I've gone 5 or 6 days, unless I'm in a lot of pain. At the 7 or 8-day point, though, I go for a glycerin suppository, if all else fails. Since you're not eating much, I wouldn't be *too* worried yet, but you're right, it's definitely something to keep an eye on.
As an A, be careful with stool softeners... have you ever used them before? I used to use docusate sodium (Colace), on the recommendation of a doctor, and found it gives me AWFUL cramps and sometimes D. I stick with the suppositories now, thanks.
