When you speak of trigger foods...do you mean those that comprise insoluble fiber? Such as green veggies, etc...all those that help to make you go? If so, I definitely eat them as that is the only way I can go to the bathroom. I eat plenty of soluble fiber beforehand (sweet potato, carrots, etc, while trying to stay away from more constipating soluble fiber, such as white bread, pasta, etc) and follow it with plenty of green veggies and wheat/whole wheat bread, pita, etc...I also make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day (at least 2 liters) and eat fruit in the evening (peeled apple, dried fruit...). If I do all of this, I am almost sure I will go to the bathroom. If I forget to do one of those things, I will most likely not go. Good luck!
