Hi there! I have a weakness for the wine myself, but I am not as sensitive as some of the people on the board, I can tolerate a little bit after dinner.
As for the losing weight, I've only lost 5 lbs, but I am not overweight either. If you want to lose more, the key is just to burn more calories than you consume. It is a sucky answer, but that is pretty much what it comes down to. Just don't starve yourself - an empty stomach is bad for IBS. Small frequent meals help keep you stable.
And lastly, forgive the intrusion, but if you aren't overweight, will losing 25 lbs be healthy for you? (I understand wanting to lose weight, I am looking to lose 10 lbs myself, but that will still keep me well within the norm for my height - not trying to be nosy, just worrying about your health
