Hello,
That sounds a lot like my situation. I was about 180lbs at Christmas, and am now down around 130-140 (haven't been weighed in awhile but am still losing pant sizes). If she's anything like me, I would assume the culprit is her diet combined with possible D. Is she IBS-D?
I find that all the D has caused me to lose weight, and I've also started eating a lot less because so many foods don't agree with me, and I feel sick so often that I can't eat. Believe me, you start drastically cutting down on what you're eating, the weight starts falling off. How tall is she? I know my doctors weren't particularily concerned because in their opinion I could "Stand to lose some weight" which was really frustrating, but now they're finally starting to take notice.
If it's stemming from a lack of calories, you could try a search on this board for some of the higher calorie foods, especcially the desserts. They're all completely IBS safe and most are low in fat, but a lot are high in calories which should help with the weight loss.
Good luck! Kelly
