I don't know if that's what it is, because there will be time (maybe just 10-20 minutes at a time) where the pain subsides before it comes back. Plus, I don't have any good anti-spasmodics (i.e. your big gun-donnatel) so it's not like I had much to try. I've taken some Ativan because I figured it might help, but no such luck. I really dont want to go to emerg because I'll likely sit there for 8 hours (it's happened before) and my doctor isn't the kind you can just call (but that's about to change soon). I go on Thursday, so maybe I'll try and stick it out...if it gets worse I guess I'll be off to the hospital. BTW, since diverticulitis is an infection, would you likely have a fever with it?
