Actually there aren't many soluble fruits and vegetables, but I already ate 2 bananas a day before the diet and almost a pound of carrots. I also eat sweet potatoes and root vegetables which I love. I eat dried papaya and mango sorbet and lots of mushrooms but I don't like mangoes or avacadoes. The only problem with my diet is if someone were fructose intolerant it would be terrible!
I knew a weird old man that lived on bananas and potatoes for years. It reminded me of the movie Papillion with the coconuts. But no one has to eat 3 bananas a day like me! It just happens to be my favorite fruit and carrots are my favorite vegetable-I'm so lucky with this soluble fiber thing!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
