IBS - D is confused on fiber types

Please clarify! My goal NORMAL FORMED STOOLS with weight an bulk that "hold" their own (think hot dogs).

I have IBS D -

Insoluable fiber - does not absorb water and rushes everything through. Too much is not good for me!

Soluable fiber does slow things down. What does it mean it absorbs water? Does that mean it is busy absorbing EXCESS water in my system, the water that gives me diahhrea? Soluable fiber is better, but still the stools are very soft and loose...is this because they are absorbing the excess water?

My goal is to result in a more FORMED stool with WEIGHT and BULK / not pasty soft like they get with all this soluable fiber and not diahhrea that I get with too much insoluable fiber - how is that done?
