First of all, welcome!

Have you checked out any of the food guidelines for the IBS diet yet? It seems like there's a lot to read, but it's really not too bad. How to eat for IBS is kind of the main page... from there you can find guidelines for what to eat when it seems like you can't eat anything, as well as how to safely add "normal" foods back into your diet. (You'll also want to read this little bit about "trigger foods" that will only make matters worse.)

Now, out of your list... if you're having a lot of IBS problems right now, bananas, bread (white!) and saltines (fat free!) are safe. The cereal is probably ok too. Unfortunately, if you look at the fat content, you'll probably find that most cookies and cakes are a no-no, and Ritz and Lay's are probably not good either. But don't worry... our recipe sections here have all kinds of recipes for good things you can get Mom to bake for you. The Peppermint Fudge Cake comes highly recommended!

Anyway, I know this is a lot of information to hand you all at once... take your time, read it through, and definitely ask any questions you might have. We love to help!
