Hi Sara. I also take Levsin when needed. It calms down the bad attacks and sometimes if I'm nervous or going out to lunch where there's not many options I take half a pill beforehand (which I'm not really sure if you're supposed to do) but it works. The Metamucil pills before eating really help too.
