Has anybody tried acacia, had it work okay for two weeks or so, and then develop horrible burning abdominal pain worse than anything you ever have??? Well, that's what happenned to me. I just read Heather's book and changed my diet accordingly. I still had some breakthrough "D", but everything was going pretty well, so I added the acacia, 1 teaspoon once a day, and then 1 teaspoon twice a day, and then all hell broke loose. I've had mild IBS for 17 years, so I am not new to abdominal pain, but this was worse than anything I've experienced. Obviously I have now gone off the acacia and I am hopeful that I will return to normal. My normal state of "D" was much preferable to this intense burning pain and bloating "C" stuff.
