It's really no different than other soluble fiber supplements like metamucil, benefiber and the one you're already taking - citrucel. The "relief of irritable bowel symptoms" is because it is soluble fiber, and as we know soluble fiber is supposed to help our ibs symptoms. So I would say just stick to the citrucel and if you feel rumbly all of a sudden, take some equalactin for extra measure and also take it if you are going to go say to someones house or a restaurant for dinner where you're not 100% sure you'll be able to tolerate the food.
