Hello,
glad you've started on the subject of fish oil. I'm a type A-IBS (alternate C and D). I haven't been able to clearly identify my trigger foods yet, except fish oil which proves to be one of them. I tried it at two separate times. Almost from the 1st day, I get stronger IBS attacks (a lot of bloating, cramps, constipation, and it doesn't want to calm down at all of the day). After a few days, it gets worse, with nausea, urgency, flushes as if about to faint. At that point I give up the product, and I never know how much good the Omega-3 could do to me ... However, I'm vegetarian since I was conceived, and I suspect my guts don't agree too much with the novelty of fish oil. There are other vegetarian sources for Omega-3, which I haven't tried yet (hamper seeds etc). Might be worth looking into. Also just discovered this natural product from a Swiss lab, which sounds marvellous.
Thanks guys for sharing your words. Alone with IBS in my little world, I felt tearful reading your messages. Glad to see we're not alone, and that info + help is available, while doctors prove to be utterly hopeless to deal with the needed support (here in the UK anyway).
Take care!
