First and foremost, thanks again to everyone who responded to my first question... I was so worried that I was minutes away from dosing up on the docusate sodium, which, in light of this morning's problem, would have been a really bad thing. ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif)
I took my first dose of a SFS (Citrucel) this morning - just a 1/2 tsp in a glass of water. It took me a few minutes to get it down... I'm a "sipper", it usually takes me a very long time to drink something, or else I feel like I'm going to explode. Well, I felt explosion-ready by the time I was done with that glass, and not even an hour later, that's exactly what happened - violent and painful D, probably the worst I've ever had.
So now I'm sitting here, weak, shaking, cramped, and nauseous, waiting for my peppermint tea to steep, and wondering if I did something wrong. I took such a tiny dose! Can you drink this stuff down slowly? I'm already scared to death to take a second dose tonight.
