Hi. I am going slightly off the subject here, so bear with me. My husband had diverticulitis & opted to have laproscopic surgery on March 28, 04. He had about 10 inches of his colon removed and was left with about a two inch scar under his belly button & a couple of little scars where the surgeon made his incisions. His recovery has been absolutely amazing. He was in the hospital for three days. When he left the hospital the doctor told him he could eat anything he wanted. Of course, he had to take it easy at first, but now he is frolicking through food like mad. He can eat everything. His only restrictions were not to drive for two weeks, no motorcyle riding for three to six weeks (he made it three weeks and two days) and he couldn't lift more than 20lbs for one month. I hope I didn't bore you to death, but I have just been waiting for the opportunity to share how amazing the laproscopic surgery was. You would not know by looking at him that he had major surgery less than two months ago. Now of course other people might have different laproscopic stories, but it really worked for my hubby.
