Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hey all. See, I thought I had been eating better. Remember, Jen, when I said I had been eating more? But when I went to the doctor on mon. i had lost some weight. I just realized that one of the side effects of one of my meds for my migraines is weight loss. (it is an anti-seizure medicine but i'm on a really low dose b/c i'm on 2 meds for migraines) Do you think that it only causes weight loss if it decreases your appetite and then you don't eat? I'm starting to think that this med may be why I have lost so much weight b/c I was on this med b4 a few months ago at amuch higher dosage when i lost mostof my weight. But it has helped my migraines but like... I looked in the mirror this morning...I mean I guess doctors wouldn't consider me underweight but i wish i could insert some more fat under my skin

The other day this three year old pushed me and i flew three feet in the air...not EVEN kidding. That's too light in my point of view. Any advice? Jen what about that protein powder b/c my mom is being a mom and worries that i don't get enough protein..cuz see..ever since my bad migraines...the thought of meat turns my stomach. Thanks for your help. I loveyou all!

Also...Like....my stomach has kind of shrunk so I prefer eating a bunch of smaller meals. But it's kind of hard b/c I'm the only one who eats like me in the house (smaller meals more often, no dairy,no meat...). I know that all of the meals in Heather's cookbooks are well balanced but how do i make a well-balanced snack? That's probably a dumb question
