Has anyone pursued that possibility of excessive bacteria in the smaller intestine. I found the original article (2000 Cedars-Sinai) and then the follow up on this forum from Heather that describes that the numbers were potentially skewed by the research process.

But it didn't seem to rule out the possibility of a link between IBS-D and bacteria. When my daughter eats safe food she is much better, would a bacteria problem be the same with all foods? and therefore she might not have this problem?

thanks,

M
