I spent 3 weeks in the hospital in February and lost almost 30 lbs. I was on TPN for a while and mandatory protein drinks. I'm still drinking them, trying to put some weight back on -- I didn't have a lot of spare to start with ...
After comparing about 5 kinds of protein shake, I've settled on SPIRU-TEIN by Nature's Plus, online at www.spirutein.com
14g of protein, 1g fiber, 110 calories, and 100 percent of 15 different vitamins and minerals (other shakes I looked at are typically 25 or 30 percent, not 100). Lots less sugar and fiber than other protein shakes. Also has magnesium, selenium, and other stuff that other shakes don't have. It's cheaper than Boost and tastes about 3 times better. Individual packets are $1.49 at the small-town health food store, and a large container makes it less than a dollar per shake.
I usually mix it with milk, ice cubes, and a banana. It's also great with yogurt and juice. And the flavors! yum!
Peaches & Cream might be the best!
