Yours is a great post -- and not too long either. We don't bore that easily! Yeah, this is a great bunch, very supportive and very knowledgeable.
I'm trying to avoid discussing your GI. This is an issue that really gets my dander up. Yes, I got the same royal treatment that you got. I'm amazed at all the newbies who come onto the boards and tell us stories like yours. I just can't understand it, and it makes me mad because they're paid to perform a service, and they obviously can't perform so they show you the door. They can't admit that they don't know anything, so it's easier to tell their patients that it's all in their heads! (Well it's certainly not in theirs!) And they're GIs; they're supposed to know what they're doing! Okay, I need to calm myself...
I'm glad you found Heather's books. I found them too, and then I came onto the boards. I'm a D, never had C.
I hope you've checked out the recipe board; there are some marvelous recipes in there. You need to learn how to use the recipe index so you can easily find those dishes you want to make; our own Miss Mags is responsible for that -- she's a genius.
