I'm one of the lucky few who can, and my fave is Orowheat 100% whole wheat bread. It contains NO DAIRY (although I confess I have no idea what stearoyl lactylate is) and it tastes GREAT. Are you near a health food store? We went down to ours a few weeks ago, and I was amazed at all the fabulous selections of fresh bread; they smelled marvelous! In fact, I bought some fresh bagels. Unfortunately, because there were no preservatives in them, they all molded and I had to toss them out.
