A trigger is usually referred to as something that sets off an attack. Food and Stress are the two biggest. An "Attack" can be very different for every person. For some people it refers to a bout of D, or sometimes pain. It can be very mild to terribly painful. For me an attact usually is very bad bloating and PAIN usually followed by a bout of D than I get C. This pain, shortness of breath, nausea C or D can last several days to weeks for me. I think most people use the word attack to describe a flare up of symptoms. Hope that helps!
