Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | I GOT MY REFERRAL! (and ate some soy)

Wooo hooo!
I took my boyfriend with me to the doctor yesterday and either him sitting there, looking unimpressed or just the fact that my doctor is tired of me showing up made the doctor finally suggest I go to see a specialist. So yay. Off to get some blood tests today, and then he is gonna send me off to see somebody. It might take months for an appointment but.. baby steps, right?
AND I tried some soy replacement stuff yesterday. I bought hamburger patties made from soy, with no bad stuff in it and a juice box thing of soy chocolate milk stuff that was actually good! The store I went to also had something like ice cream made from soy but I am not sure if I am allowed it or not... I am still wrapping my mind around all this. And the bonus is.. I haven't been sick today!! Granted all I have had is some bread and toast and it's only 1 in the afternoon but I am feeling much more chilled out today since I didn't wake up, having to hurry to the potty!
Just wanted to send a little happy message, after all my complaining as of late!! Thanks for everyone's support!
