Welcome to the boards!
I have the opposite problem, too. I lost 40 pounds last year from IBS (believe it or not!), but I had them to lose, so I wasn't complaining too too much.
However, I'm now walking the fine line of trying to get enough nutrients into my system. And I'm trying to regulate my energy levels. I personally think those are linked in my case.
ANYWAY... have you looked into protein powders? I know weightlifters and muscley people take those. I just started mixing some into a smoothie in the morning and it's really helped my energy level. Maybe that would help you with weight gain? I'm not sure how that works...?
Smoothies are a great way to get some extra food in-- they're so tasty! And if you add honey, cocoa, and other things like that, then you will get some extra calories without adding too much fat.
From what Heather said in her books, a lot of people find that their weight evens off to the right place when they've been on this diet for some time and have been eating regularly.... (meaning: people who need to gain, do, and people who need to lose, do) I know you're new to the boards.... how long have you been following her diet? I wonder if you'll notice more improvement as time goes on a little?
Make sure you're adding to your diet and not just sticking to the super safe breads and potatoes! They're safe but not enough nutrients! In Weight Watchers (before I got sick), they had a challenge: add one new (meaning "different from the usual) meal to your diet plan a week. It was good for those who aren't very adventurous in the kitchen-- one meal isn't THAT much to experiment. And it ensures variety. You could try to issue yourself that challenge and make sure you're getting extra calories in those meals!? Just a thought.
Good luck!
