I'll tell you what I do in your case. For breakfast: I take a tablespoon of Fibercon in a weak cup of decaf coffee with non-dairy low fat creamer. Best to have the 2 slices of toast with white bread only, a ripe peeled pear (one of the few fruits that do not bother me), and some egg whites for protein. Instead of the toast, maybe white rice cereal with rice milk. I no longer worry about veggies, I gave them up outside a spoon of avocado, iceberg lettuce, a few garbanzos without skins, a few french string beans, a few pea pods, black olives. I survive on white rice, pasta (no tomato sauce), potatoes, sweet potatoes, chicken breast, salmon, lean fish, white bread, a little corn oil margarine. Eat an orange every third day. Have a ripe apple every fourth or fifth day, peeled. I will take the Fibercon before each meal. Do read the information on IBS in this program. I drink one Ensure a day. I avoid rough, gassy, fatty foods. And I don't eat much of anything. Am 82, 104#, 5'2" in good health, on no medication, energetic and lively. Hopefully, this helps. Yours, Pedie
