Cutting the Percentage of Fat

If I know I've just consumed too much fat in a meal, can I still cut the fat by immediately eating something non-fat, such that the total percentage of fat in the whole meal is within the acceptable range?

After my morning acacia-fennel-peppermint brew, I had some potato bread, toasted, with my beloved Soy Garden on it. I didn't measure the amount of Soy Garden I put on the toast, but I probably used too much because I really love the stuff. Immediately I became nauseated and blamed the fat content -- so I quickly grabbed a half of a small banana and ate it in an attempt to reduce the total fat content of my breakfast.

Am I cheating? Does this work? I gotta say, my nausea is diminishing as we speak...... think I'll eat the other half banana.......
