Becca, we can ALL sympathize with how you're feeling. I was in total denial over my IBS diagnosis; I handled my diverticulosis diagnosis MUCH better! I read Heather's books, but still didn't want to believe I had to do all that stuff. I fought it, the whole time in pain, with cramps every single day, until finally I couldn't fight it any longer.
Look at it this way -- (I'm probably gonna be crucified for saying this, but I'll take the chance) -- it could be a LOT worse; we could have something fatal. All we have to do is learn a new way of eating, getting exercise, taking our supplements, and really just living a healthier lifestyle.
