You know this is a good point. Also -- I think a lot of this is stress too. When we know that we're being bad... and we're stressing over the fact that so many foods are over the limit... that could be causing a lot of problems too. I just eat it in small amounts and don't worry about it.
I haven't had any attacks yet {{{crossing fingers & knocking on wood}}} I think the key is having it after a modest, safe, meal - and then having a modest amount. I also don't have it every night. I have the soy "ice cream" about twice a week --- I use the ADB brownies or something like that for my dessert other nights when I want something sweet.
I did have a bagel with my chocolate spread last night - a fairly thin coat. It was pretty good (not as good as I remember nutella -- but that was memories....) It's a little thicker... and I could tell it has more fat than what I usually eat. I didn't have an attack -- but I would say go thin when spreading and only after a non-fat meal with this one. The fat % is very high. It was a nice indulgence though. For those that don't have problems with small amounts of dairy -- the Nutella may have less fat and be a better bet -- I don't have a jar in front of me to see.
