the Tummy Fiber dissolves best in room temperature liquids. If you want to add it to a very hot or ice cold drink, add the fiber to your cup first, add just enough room temp liquid to dissolve it, and once it's liquified add the hot or cold liquid.

Once the fiber is liquified, it doesn't matter how hot or cold the liquid you add it to is. The fiber itself is impervious to temperatures, so you can add it things you're freezing or oven cooking - like homemade sorbets (gives a really creamy, smooth texture) or bake with it (makes things extra fudgy and moist).

It just doesn't dissolve well in super hot or super cold liquids - that's why you want to liquify it first.

This is the general rule for adding it to things like drinks you're consuming right away.

If you're adding it to something hot and then leaving it for a while (like a soup you're cooking) then just add the powder straight. It will take longer to dissolve, but it will dissolve after a bit. I add it to hot liquids I'm cooking all the time, and it will clump up at first but I don't care, because I'm leaving it to simmer anyway. By the time the cooking is done it's all dissolved and disappeared.

So, a few shades of gray here depending on your exact use!

Best,
Heather
