Hi - it's possible to be allergic to just about anything. Acacia gum allergies are uncommon (as are gum allergies in general), but not impossible.
The only way to really know is elimination. Stop all suspected allergens, wait until you're better, then add suspects back in one at a time and see what happens.
It is more typical that if someone has a gum allergy they know it, because gums are used in so many foods and beverages. You're likely eating them every day (check ingredient lists for gum arabic, guar gum, locust bean gum, etc.)
Most people I hear of with one gum allergy have problems with all of them, so if you are allergic be careful, and read ingredient lists scrupulously.
