I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this question or not, so I do apologize if this should be elsewhere:
I have IBS-C symptoms but still have yet to receive an official diagnosis of IBS. I'm going to see a GI Specialist at the end of this month. My question stems from something my mother told me, about a friend of hers who had all kinds of stomach problems. She'd seen doctor after doctor with no result. She then went to her dentist for a routine cleaning, and the dentist told her that her wisdom teeth needed to come out (they weren't painful but were impacted). Within a week of having the wisdom teeth removed, her stomach was back to normal, as in none of the upsets that she'd been experiencing previously.
Has anyone ever heard of this, and does this make sense? I do have 2 bottom wisdom teeth that need to be removed (they're growing in kinda sideways), and was wondering if anyone else has heard of a dental-stomach connection?
