Vytorin and IBS       02/09/11 06:50 PM Edit Reply Quote SBOND Reged: 02/08/11 Posts: 3 I have IBS with diarrhea and I manage it very well with diet and these products. Recently,my family doctor gave me Vytorin (This combination medication is used along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It caused me to have the most HORRIBLE bout of diarrea I have EVER experienced. She looked at all the info on the drug before she gave it to me and there was nothing listed regarding IBS patients. On the web-site,about Vytorin side effects, diarrhea was listed but it was list as a less common side effect and it was hard to find. Anyway,I was just curious to see if anyone out there, with IBS like mine,has had a bad experience with this drug. I am also thinking that patients with IBS like mine SHOULD NOT take this medication!
