This is my worry, that I have in fact got a mild form of colitis. I seem to have every sympton but based on the sigmoidoscopy result which was 2 and a half months later and after a course of steroids the gastro doctor tels me its not colitis and may be rectal spasms. When there is blood in the mucus and the pain and urgency of it I find this hard to believe, I also get a distended tummy during the flare up too. I just feel like I've been fobbed off and as if i'm on red alert all the time not knowing when it will happen again. It sucks, all I want is some answers Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
