Histamine intolerance is associated with allergies and may occur after eating histamine rich foods such as may aged cheeses, red wine or processed meats. It is usually treated through the use of antihistimines or the elimination of histamine rich foods most of which are unsafe on the EFI diet. If you think you have a problem with histamine it best to check with an allergy doctor. The diagnosis is not straight forward.
