You might read this web page. On it Heather says "in fact, peppermint is such a powerful muscle relaxant that it can trigger GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) or heartburn in people who are susceptible. If you are prone to these upper GI problems, avoid mint and stick to Heather's Tummy Tea™ ~ Organic Fennel." And in this news letter she say "If you're prone to these upper GI problems, avoid peppermint tea and try another terrific option: enteric-coated peppermint oil capsules."
