Hi Syl,
Thanks, as always, for your invaluable knowledge. I do recognise the fact that the cereal is high in insoluble fibre. I am keen to introduce more IF into my diet, while my IBS is relatively stable, because at present, I don't think I'm eating enough. I'm at the point where, for the most part, I've managed to control the cramping and extreme stomach pains. I still suffer from abdominal discomfort and the associated aches and pains. However, I'm particularly keen to address my constipation, which I believe, is exacerbating my bloating and distension.
I'm currently taking a soluble fibre supplement (approximately 20grams per day), a probiotic (Natren Life Start), and I eat a diet high in soluble fibre.
I should perhaps say, regarding the cereal, I take a soluble fibre supplement (in water) before eating the cereal. I also mix some soluble fibre supplement with the oat milk and add a banana for some extra SF.
I've read Heather's advice on incorporating IF, however, if you've any other guidance I'd be keen to hear it.
Best Wishes
