If you have not been diagnosed then it cannot be a pre-existing condition
It is never wise to self-diagnosis. There are many diseases that mimic IBS that need to be ruled out before concluding IBS is what you have. It really is best to see a GI doctor and get a firm diagnosis.
Calcium carbonate can cause C unless taken with magnesium. That in and of itself is not IBS.
You might stick with a simple diet for 2-3 days and see if things settle down. If you are watching your FODMAPs then be careful of onions, garlic, leeks, etc.
