I actually just talked to my doctor about starting to take calcium pills because I'm worried about not getting enough calcium. She told me about Caltrate that she takes (she doesn't have IBS though). This is my family doctor not my IBS doctor I was talking to but she said that I would need to take Vitamin D with it also. The Caltrate has both. I don't know what brand of pill form your taking but have you tried taking a chewable. I noticed that Caltrate also makes a chewable. It's a thought. I'm going to start taking to tomorrow.
