Hi all

I first stumbled upon this site when I was searching for an answer as to why eating fruit relieves constipation in normal people, but hugely exacerbates constipation caused by IBS. I've had IBS since April 2007, with symptoms ranging from debilitating to mild over time. My IBS is constipation-dominant, although it often alternates between constipation and diarrhoea. Bloating and gas have always been a problem, too. I have found this site helpful esp regarding soluble and insoluble fibre intake.

My main purpose with registering was that I could share with you all one hugely helpful remedy that has made a real difference for me not just regarding my IBS but also my psychological and other kinds of woes. It's called Schuessler (or tissue) cell salts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biochemic_cell_salts

When I lived in Hungary I obviously used the German variety, in the UK they are marketed by Thompsons New Era.

They are available in health food shops, such as Revital. I'm sure they are available in the US as well...

Best wishes,
Susie
