You better try yams and cooked peas again. I can't believe they would be harder to handle than summer squash, unless you are fructose intolerant. Definitely try well-cooked green beans, spinach and asparagus- but with a SF source like rice or pasta or bread first and with the veg. Maybe to be ultra safe (remember sometimes our food touchiness is a little in the head- if we get nervous we can get sick on safe food- it happened to me on Friday!!! ) take pep caps first and your SFS, then have some SF and your cooked veggie- just a little. Do it when you are at home and not going anywhere. My guess is that if you think you'll be fine, you will! Good luck.
