Thanks for the post. I've been feeling alot better for the last 24 to 36 hours.
I haven't done a ton of research on it, but I haven't found anywhere that says C can be a symptom of fructose malabsorption; it must be somewhat rare. I've so seriously limited my diet already that I won't have very much to eat if I dump the fruit. I do know that grapes are very bad for me--I've never felt well after eating them. It was interesting to note in this article on fructose malabsorption, Fructose Malabsorption – Causes, Symptoms, and Diagnosis, that the human intestine can only absorb a certain amount of fructose at any one time (25 to 50 g), and the severity of fructose malabsorption is a matter of degree. So even a person that normally has no digestive issues could have a big problem if they gorged on foods containing fructose. Maybe I hit my limit by adding the Vit C fizzy powder, which has alot of fructose in it (the citric acid could have cause a problem, too). I do normally avoid anything with corn syrup, esp. high fructose corn syrup. One more food to limit and/or to be worried about.
