I'm sorry you're having to go through this. I found some guidelines for the PET scan here and it looks like slim pickings for IBS-ers. If you like tofu that might be an option. Perhaps you could ask your doctor for anti-anxiety meds to get you through. I take about between .5 and 1.0 mg of Xanax before an MRI. If you're IBS-D you could load up on Imodium in addition assuming your doctor doesn't object.
