I think the banana thing is open on another thread. Yes ripe ones can help you go and green ones definitely block everyone up! As for the BRAT diet being for D, I always thought it was more like food for digestive problems either way. Just really soothing, easy to digest food.
I find a lot of helpful info in talking to people without IBS, like my husband. Sometimes they really know exactly what certain foods do to them and if they have those issues we would have more. Most people get C from underripe bananas (also red meat, cheese).
