I guess it might be possible for fructose malabsorption to affect it but I have not read anything about it. For sure it excess fructose can make IBS symptoms worse. Hmmmm - I wonder if IBS can exacerbate gastritis and maybe the fructose bothers the IBS and the IBS the gastritis. I have not heard of fructose sensitivity. As far as I know there is only hereditary fructose intolerance and fructose malabsorption. Perhaps you will have to talk to your GI doc and see what he has to say.
