Trapped gas definitely does cause bloating. When I get 'trapped' around people for some time, when I get alone I can sometimes fart for a minute straight. I can feel my gut go down after a few of those!
The best thing for that is to somehow get out walking alone sometime in the day and let it out. The walking around helps with the 'trapped' part along with fennel tea and SFS to keep things moving.
I don't recall what your prep entailed. I had some issues on Align but I can't remember what they were. I know I posted about it here but too lazy to search! Stopping the oat bran is taking away IF and you should replace it along with more fiber supplement but in a way safer than bran.
